Grenadines Solid Waste Management Study

An amount of €440,000 from STABEX 95 was allocated to undertake a detailed study on Solid Waste Management in the Grenadines.

The main objectives of this consultancy were to assess the overall potential for waste avoidance and minimisation, determine how the Government can influence and maximise waste avoidance, and determine practical ways in which wastes derived from imported materials may be avoided and to determine economically feasible ways in which commercial and domestic waste can be avoided.

The Preliminary study was executed by Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick and Co. LTD between June 98 and May 99.
