The furnishing and equipping of the Agricultural Training Institute was financed under SFA 2007, the objective of the project was to support agricultural and economic diversification by further supporting the development of alternative economic activities in the agricultural and productive sectors.
The specific intervention under this programme was to contribute to the establishment of an accredited Agricultural Training Institute at Orange Hill to promote human resource development and private sector investment in agriculture as well as to encourage research and technology development programmes. It is intended that the Institute will serve secondary school students, young beginners farmers, experience farmers, extension/technical transfer staff and other service providers.
